We don't have any stairs inside of our house. We have a steps up to the back porch and these on the front of the house. I knew he could go up the steps with my help but going down has always stumped him. We were out front today waiting for Daddy to return and Booker really wanted to get up these steps by himself. I stood back and watched while he perfected his moves and was thrilled to watch his little mind figuring things out.

Ladies Man
We had the pleasure of attending a 1st birthday party for a coworker's child yesterday. They had a petting zoo with rabbits, chickens, a miniature horse, a pig and pigmy goats! Booker was in heaven. He wanted to pet all of them at the same time.

Booker just about ate his weight in watermelon and also enjoyed his first Sno-cone.
He also spent some of the afternoon fending off the advances of a few little girls at the party! The one shown here knocked him to ground a few times with her hugs!

Tick Tock
Booker's play kitchen has burner knobs that turn on lights and make noise. He hasn't started pretending to cook on it but has found another use...

1st Day of School!
It's not really school but I'm sure he'll learn alot! Booker started daycare for the first time ever today! We have always had a babysitter at home so this was a new experience for everyone. Booker, of course, was ready and raring to go! Once there was mention of snack time, he waved to me and sat down in his tiny orange chair with the other kids. I managed to make it out to the car before completely melting down. Ed and I are so excited for his chance to learn and socialize with other kids his age. And his first day was great...check the report card below!

Sorry for the delay...
This boy loves his backyard. Between the hose, his ball and all the sticks to pick up, it's just good!

So, I was excited to get Booker some Crayola Tadoodles at Target. He likes to color but always breaks the crayons. We picked out a set and a few other things. I anxiously unwrapped the new toy when we came home but turned around and Booker wasn't there. I heard a lot of noise coming from the next room and upon inspection found him playing with his new toy...our new mop! He really hasn't put it down since. And the Tadoodles, they are sitting on the bookshelf until he's ready.

Great Grandma!
My Mom, Aunt Hannah, Booker and I all took a trip to see my grandmother, Barabara,Easter weekend.

Toledo was cold and windy but it was nice to catch up with the family. Booker did great on the plane ride...his first! I think his favorite part of the trip were the ducks that live at Great Grandma's

We had a lovely dinner at Uncle Pete and Aunt Margaret's Easter Sunday complete with a viola seranade from my 13 year old cousin Hunter. What talented kid! Emma, his younger sister, managed to charm young Booker into her lap several times.
Hannah and I had a blast with B in the hotel, with the exception of some puking due to Booker's first gulps of orange juice!
Here's some footage of him right before that in his new Batman PJ's!
