1st swim!
He's a natural! The first few moments were a little iffy but then he was kicking his legs and splashing like a pro. I fear I may need a poncho for bath time from now on. He picked up on how to splash really fast. We didn't stay in the pool for too long because the sun was going down. After changing into dry PJ's, we went back outside to sit and his eyes didn't leave that water. Hmmm..how much is a family membership to the local YMCA? (pardon the loud audio on the clip below...there were a lot of people outside!)

Teeth!
2 on the bottom..and that looks like it for now. It hasn't been that bad. A little whining, a little throwing up...not nearly the horror that I've heard of.
Today, while he was sitting on his blanket with all of his toys, he turned himself around and proceeded to pull up on the table. He didn't get on his feet but it really surprised me! He's very strong so I know it won't be long. He also will get up on his knees and rock but won't move forward. He's also very close to waving and clapping. He's just a barrel of laughs these days...very entertain-able!

I don't know where to begin...
- A virus attacked our computer. After some misguided tech advice, I was finally able to save our important stuff and reload the operating system...ie start over. If I have ever posted on your blog and you still read mine, please e-mail me a link at alisonispumoni@yahoo.com.
- I got a new position at work! I am now the new Concierge at Whole Foods Market in San Antonio! Our desk will be offering personal shopping, event planning and pantry stocking. It's been alot of work so far but I'm having a blast!
- June 26th-29th was spent in Shreveport, LA with Ed's extended family. His aunts and uncles, along with many others, planned a very organized family reunion that included about 200 people! Ed's dad is retired military so we got to stay on Barksdale Airforce Base, which is very beautiful. It was great to see everyone and for them to see Booker.
- June 29th-30th was spent in Hillsboro, TX, about 35 miles outside of Waco. An 18 wheeler's mudflap flew up under the car in front of us, tearing off our grill and damaging the air conditioner. Booker got to sit in a police car and ride in a tow truck. Hillsboro has an outlet mall and a few hotels. It does not have a repair shop, rental car office or cab service. Luckily, a family friend who lives in Waco was able to drive me to get a rental car. We should get our vehicle back by the end of this week. No one was hurt and we had plenty of diapers and clothes but it was not the extended vacation we were looking for.
- My parents came to visit from Delaware July 4th-8th. Good food, a few games of Scrabble, a couple of movies...the usual. Booker was the main entertainment! Grandpa Andy and his variety of funny noises were a big hit with Booker. Grandma got in as many hugs and kisses as she could. They were both pretty sad to leave this morning. I'll post pictures as soon as I get them from Reagan
8 month old boy!
I usually try to take the same photos of him each month (white onesie, just diaper) but Booker wasn't in the mood for a photo shoot this evening.
This boy is now almost 19 pounds (18lb 12 oz at last weight)! He has alot of soft, curly hair that seems to double some nights. The PJ's he's wearing above are 18 month size (thanks Grandma!). He wants to eat all the time, his fav being vanilla ice cream. He can roll from front to back and back to front but hasn't quite gotten his knees under him. He is very interested in his toys and prefers to have one with him at all times to play with or chew on. He has 2 teeth poking through on the bottom and 2 more on the top shouldn't be far behind. He is very fond of the sound and volume of his own voice, launching into high-pitched squeals with no warning. He is just the sweetest little being on Earth...everyone says so!
