Stills

These still shots from the video below were too yummy not to share...

Mama

I know I have a while before I hear him say it but look how his little face lights up when I say Mama!

The strange noise you'll hear at the end of the clip is Shiloh. He often has to come and chime in when the baby tries to talk.

love/hate

I love that I got a raise during my job review today after only being back at work 2 days.

I hate that my feet hurt.

I love that Ed was so happy to be home with Booker for the past 2 days. They had a blast! I'm terribly lucky to have such a wonderful, helpful husband.

I hate that we have to leave Booker with a sitter for the next 2 days.

I love that Booker woke me up at 4 o'clock this morning because we snuggled on the couch until I got up to make pancakes at 7.

I hate that I only got to see him for 2 hours until it was bedtime.

I love that I have a happy healthy family to come home to.

I hate that I have to leave them in the first place.

Here's some new pictures of the boy.

I am headed back to work today. And that's all I have to say about that...

Confessions of a Crazy Mommy

When Ed and I got married, my Mom gave us these cute wedding bears. A white bear dressed in a wedding gown and a brown bear dressed in a tiny tuxedo. I had been thinking that they would be the perfect models for Booker's now too small Eagles gear. So, I plopped Booker down on the bed in the guest bedroom (our "photo shoot" room), got the bears out of the closet.

What a fun way to show our Eagles spirit! And what a cute baby! A cute little baby...and a cute little tuxedo. See where I'm going with this?

I couldn't help myself! The tiny bow tie, the shorts with the satin stripe down the side, the mock boutonniere...it was all too delicious. I'm gonna have some serious explaining to do when Ed gets home and reads this. In my defense, I didn't even consider putting him in the tiny wedding dress....I swear!

Here comes the sun...

Well, not this weekend here in San Antonio but soon. And the big man is all ready!

We're currently shopping for swimsuits and sunglasses. We need to ready for Grandpa Booker's pool as soon as the weather is nice!

It's a beautiful day...

We had a lovely day today. We took some pictures, napped and then took off to enjoy the 75 degree San Antonio weather! Booker really enjoys riding in his stroller so we took the 3/4 mile walk up to the Dollar Tree to wander around. He stayed awake the whole time and started "chatting" when we got to the store.
Ed popped him in the stroller the other night and walked over to Home Depot. Booker started to cry when they entered the store so Ed rolled him over to the ceiling fan department. Worked like a charm! Booker's lucky to have such a great Dad!
This is our stroller, by the way: http://tinyurl.com/ywmfne
It has an iPod dock so we can enjoy our tunes...how cool are we?

We're on the charts!

Booker has a little bit of a rash on his forehead that was concerning me, so we went to see Dr. Fitch today. (His rash is a little bit of eczema and is not infected, so nothing to be worried about. ) The good news is that the boy now weighs 11 pounds, 6.5 ounces, which puts him into the 25th percentile for his age! Preemies don't usually chart until 4 months or so! I'm so pleased with my 3 month old boy! He was so cute smiling and cooing at the doctor too.

"Oh! Look at that baby!"

It's such a nice phrase to hear..and we hear it all the time! I know that all babies are cute but I have so many people come up and comment on how cute my boy is.

This is a new outfit from Aunt Hannah. A Timberland t-shirt that reads: "start small, think big". It has matching jeans and an orange sweatshirt. He sported this look while shopping in Austin today.

This is a still from the previously posted video. He lays in our bed while I get dressed the morning and talks to the ceiling fan.

5 reasons I love my boy...

1. He clenches his little fists while he eats, until the last drop is swallowed. He comes from a long line of passionate eaters!

2. He is facinated with his Dad. Dad comes home and picks him up and Booker stares intently at him for 20 minutes or so. It's so cute.

3. His favortie place to sleep is on Mom or Dad's chest. This poses a problem so of the time but it's so sweet.

4. He smiles and coos at me when I talk or sing to him. We sing a song or read Goodnight Moon every night and I get the same sweet smile every time.

5. He doesn't mind that I consider him my little dress-up doll. I know one day he will, but for now, he seems content to lay on his changing table while I lay outfits on top of him until I find the right one.

This Mickey outfit is so cute with the little hat! The kicker is that it's 3-6 month size! He probably only has another week or 2 in his 0-3 outfits. He's so long!
